Share your rescue dog story.

We want to hear your rescue dog story! Our dogs mean so much to all of us and we mean the world to them. Have you rescued a dog that was in need of a home? Please tell us your story using the form below.

It’s important that we share these stories because there are so many dogs all over the country in need of good homes. The more stories we can share about successful adoption, the more people we’ll inspire.

When telling your story, try to answer these questions:

  • Include information like when you adopted your dog and how old he/she was.
  • What kind of dog did you rescue?
  • What were some challenges you had to overcome together?
  • How did you find learn your dog needed a home?
  • What are some of your favorite activities to do together?
  • How has your dog changed your life?
  • Upload photos or link to your Instagram or another photo album like Flickr!

Send your story and photo to doggopuppersite@gmail.com with the subject “My rescue story.”

After writing my rescue dog’s story, the form wouldn’t allow me to upload one photo. Then, I couldn’t get the “error” message to reset—–and couldn’t send the story. Aggravating.

Keep trying, I finally got it to work. First photo attempt didn’t work. Not my Ist choice for photo but at least it took. Good luck!

This is a great idea. Folks need to hear about the good out there in the world, and not just the negative that makes up too much of the news.
Thanks for being a positive force.

I have 4 tescue dogs my st. BERNARD is a special needs dog. He has almost daily seizures. His meds cost approx. 300 dollars a month. He still has seizers and the vet said if we stop his meds he will die. Right he is a lot of work to keep his seizures at 3 to 4 times a week. Thats why we can’t get another dog right now. He also had bloat and his surgery was 5000 dollars. We also have a 6lb dog who was starving and found in an abandoned pet shop with 2 of her sisters. She had to have most of her teeth removed and has 8 left. I have her on a special soft diet. I also have a 11lb female who was football kicked by her former owner and lost her babies. She now hates men. My last rescue is a 2 & 1/2 month old found in the street chasing cars. He is a pug mix and a lover.
