Rescue Story: Sandi

Thank you Carmen from New Mexico for sharing Sandi’s rescue story with us! Goes to show that even a challenging dog can bring so much happiness to our lives.

I rescued Sandi, a year old lab mix about 6 months ago. She was abandoned in the streets of a small town in NM.

My patient’s family started feeding her out of the blue one day and when I went over to treat them, she almost jumped into my lap in my car. We have had many new adventures together.

Quickly finding out Sandi gets car sick was quite a challenge. Potty training, chewing, other bad behaviors are much better, but we are still working on them. Sandi enjoys jogging with me and going to the dog park. She especially likes diving into the nearest mudhole.

My pup needed a mommy and while we are still adjusting, we are both happy to be loved!
